Danish design. Handmade in Vietnam.
Anne Black is co-owner of a small ceramic factory located outside of Hanoi, Vietnam in a joint venture with a Vietnamese partner, Mrs Hang. This was established with the ongoing support, supervision and guidance of the official agency DANIDA, the Danish Institute of Development. The co-ownership means Anne Black is able to control working conditions in the factory. The working environment has been developed with assistance from international experts and is comparable to Danish standards. Therefore the production is monitored and continuously developed in relation to the working environment, health, social rights, external environmental load and technical competencies. A fair trade co-operation.
Drink in elegant style with the Black is Blue porcelain cup by Anne Black.
Each cup is handpainted with blue snow flakes and due to their individual uniqueness may vary slightly with their painted decorations as they are all handmade. The richly coloured delicate snowflakes are painted on the inside and base of the cup. The outside of the cup is left plain except for the text, "black is blue" which is screen printed on the outside base edge of the cup, the name of this beautiful and popular range. The cups are 8cm high and 7 cm in diameter.
Matching sugar bowls, teapots, bowls and trays are also available.
Anne Black graduated as a ceramicist and designer in Denmark. Today all concept and design development is made from her workshop in Copenhagen. The collections are sold in design and fashion shops all over the world.
